| It has been very, very busy at our house lately. As most of you know we added and addition onto our house last fall and so Dave has been working steadily on that. It is coming along nice, our addition conisists of 3 rooms, a laundry room, a bathroom, and a large family room. As of now the laundry room is painted {a deep rich salmon color} a new windown has been installed and a hardwood floor and Dave is in the process of installing all the new plumbing and we have purchased a new stackable Amana front end loading washer-dryer set. It is very nice. My father in law has been here, he is an electrican by trade, he has hooked up most of the recepticles and will be back to finish the rest of the electrical switches and stuff like that. He has been a big help to us. Thanks Morris!!! I guess that brings us to the Family Room~~~ It is a fairly big room {14x22} We have ordered some really beautiful wall pa per for the celing, don't be to quick to think, yuck, I fell in love with it when I saw it, anyhow that is the next step in the family room, as the 4 windows have been installed and the walls are painted a lovely Honey color, sort of a light mustard color. These colors I have picked are not what I would ever have gone with, but I am really liking the change for me. I am daring to be different these days I guess.... Dave has many things yet to do in the addition before we can get in, I had hoped to be in by the 1st of August, it'll be close to that I guess. He still has to frame in all the 4 windows, install molding around windows, apply wallpaper to the ceiling, set in crown molding around ceiling in family room and molding around the floor after the flooring is installed {which I can't decide on yet} I am just having a really hard time making up my mind on the flooring for the family room. Hmmm!!! As for the bathroom, that will be a winter project, if the money holds out, otherwise that will be a next year project. I am very thankful for what we have done thus far, and owe nothing on it, cash so far! I am excited so far!
If anyone is in our little area of Madrid, feel free to stop in and take a peek~~~
My husband still has to finish painting a roof and an entire house almost, on the outside, of our tenant house on Miner Street in Canton, so you see Dave is a busy man as he still has a full time job each and every day. That is the way life is going here for us in our house here in Madrid so far this summer, busy working!

| Let me see, I am trying to think how far back to go...
We have had a very busy season here with a new addition going up, it is up and is on the way to being completed. Dave has worked very hard and has been blessed to have had some help with this project. John {our son-in-law} was here over the Thanksgiving Holiday and he put the metal roof on and Dave assisted, John is good and very fast, we were very blessed by his help. Nate has been here over the winter season to give his Dad a hand a few time, thanks Nate! I guess the addition consists of a large living room, laundry room and a bathroom. All the rooms are now ready to put the windows in and paint and then put flooring down! Really this project does seem to have gone quickly, of course, I have not done any work, just cooking for the ones who have worked. I have been asked to get my paint colors picked out, hmmm! We own rental properties, so picking out painting colors and flooring and molding and all that stuff has happened quite a bit for me lately, it is a stretch for my brain at times. Anyhow, I need to get the colors picked out so my husband can get the paint on the walls... Okay, enough of that!!!
Robert and Julie {our son and daughter-in-law} have moved to our house on CR 310. They have decided they want to live there so we are taking over their property here in Madrid and they are taking over the 310 property. Nate and Sarah{our son and other daughter-in-law} have decided to live there, they will be moving in there the end of the month. He has been working over there getting some things done that he would like to do before they move in. I am glad to have family live so closely by us.
Dave is back to work painting!!! He is very glad for that, anyone who knows Dave knows he loves working... He will also be starting to paint the property on Miner St. in Canton that we purchased last August {the outside}. We are also planning on putting our pool in the 1st part of June, Dave isn't really over thrilled about that, he is more or less doing it 'cause I love a pool.... I am sure once it is in, he will also like it a bunch. After working in the hot sun, I am quite sure the pool will be quite refreshing. I know the kids will love it, our family has always like the pool time together, I hope to have some friends come and enjoy it with me.
I have been occupied lately with helping with some sewing projects for the Musical. Does anyone besides me really, I mean really appreciate Sarah Diedrich for all the work, and lots of it there is, that she does for the Musical. Sarah is a very diligent woman and I honor her for all she does and has done. I am looking very forward to our Musical, these people work very hard for a long time to perform for all of us. Thanks to all of you who take the time out of you life to put into something that we all can enjoy so much. It is talked about often, how talented you all are... The pit orchestra is always so wonderful, tastefully done Pastor Rick & company!!!
I am not sure how many of you are not aware, but my husband & I are going to be grandparent's again. Kayla & Jesse are now going to have a new one in December. We are very excited to have a new baby in our family. Babies are so wonderful!!! As Dave says his little one {Kayla} is going to have a little one, I know, sounds cheesy, however, my husband is thrilled for Kayla to have a baby for him to love, me too of course. The Lord places the baby in the womb and we are excited for this new life!!!
Well, I guess I am done for now... I will try to keep updated here more often!!!

| Christmas Eve:
Like always, we headed off to church to go to the Christmas Eve Service. I have always enjoyed our Christmas Eve Service so much, it is very special to me. I love singing the Christmas Carol's and the Holiday Choir is always delightful. After this event is over we come back to our home were Dave & I worked together and made many wonderful snacks and the house is always decorated nicely, my husband loves this time of coming back to our home and Christmas Eve night and it's events that follow. The boys and their wives were here 'til around midnight and then they were back here Christmas morning by 9 am. I might say that was a nice feeling seeing them drive in and come in early that morning. We got coffee and then sat down to exchange gifts and then we had breakfast which consisted of apple caramel pancakes, homemade sausage and coffee and milk. It was a nice breakfast and a great morning. Thank-You to our sons and their wives for coming out early and spending that time with Dave and me. After breakfast Dave and I needed to get moving as we needed to be at my mom's house by 1pm. for dinner there. It was nice to be with some of my sister's and their family members, it has been many years since I have done that, I enjoyed that very much. Thanks mom for all your hard work, the meal was wonderful and greatly appreciated too.
At 3:30 pm Dave and I had to leave as we needed to be at Nate and Sarah's for dinner. Robert and Julie came and we had a very nice dinner there as well, Julie and I also contributed to dinner. Dinner was very good, thanks to all again.... Thanks to Nate and Sarah for hosting dinner. After dinner I helped Sarah clean up and then she put two pies in the oven, I had apple and it was delicious, with DD coffee of course...... We all sat down and proceeded to play a new game that Julie got for Christmas called Apples to Apples, that was fun. At that point I was ready to come home. It was a wonderful day and it was nice to come home and settle down with my hubby..... Thank-You Lord for family and friends. You have blessed us so greatly. Thank-You mostly for your son, Jesus.

| Tonight Dave & I went to a Christmas Party at the Sinclair's here in Madrid, it was a party hosted by Rick & Darlene for the people who serve in leadership capacity at the church. We had a lovely time there this evening. The girls did a wonderful job with putting it all together. I had the homemade tomato soup and it was delightful. The girls made many kinds of nice snacks, they served all of us and did a great job and they had a wonderful servants attitudes. Thanks very much girls and guys, we were blessed by your serving. The house was warmly decorated and it was inviting too. The fireplace was burning nicely in one of the rooms and once I found that spot that is were I remained for the rest of the evening. Each room was decorated and looked quite festive. All in all we all had a nice time conversing with each other. I love my church family very much and I value each of you too. Each of you have a special place in our lives, thank-you Lord for the richness of family and friends. We are truly a blessed family.

| Wow, Thanksgiving has come and gone and now we are into the Christmas Season already. Lets see, oh yeh! Thanksgiving brought Melisa & John and three little girls into town. We had a lovely day starting with a wonderful brunch with Robert, Julie, Nate, Sarah, Dave & Connie. I made a breakfast brunch that we have shared at the ladies meeting in church in times gone by and Julie made some sausage balls and Sarah contributed some homemade cinnamon swirl bread and we enjoyed that and it was a nice time together. We cleaned up and then onto Thanksgiving Dinner details. Again we all contributed to the dinner and the "Garbers" arrived about 2:30 pm. We all were excited to see them. It is so fun to see the little girls ya know. We shared a lovely dinner about 3 pm. It was a wonderful meal too. We here,we all like to cook, good thing 'cause we have a bunch that loves to eat too. Of course the guys like to watch "Dallas Football" it is on every Thanksgiving. It sure is a lot more fun to watch when they WIN.... We then watched the grand old movie "It's a Wonderful Life" how I love that movie. Later on that evening my mom and Linda Stevens came over and we broke out some snacks, my daughter Melisa made some homemade candy and Rob & Julie brought some cheese, crackers and pepperoni. We took some family pictures and just plain each others company, family it is wonderful, isn't it. Again, I do have picture, but have not figured out how to download. Does anyone want to offer to come and show me, Please!!!!
